Money in politics is getting out of hand, and the recent Supreme Court decision will only make it worse. It doesn't seem right that my Congressman should be receiving donations from across the country. It makes me wonder who he is really representing, because it doesn't appear to be us.
I would like to propose this simple solution. Candidates may only receive donations from people living within the district they are running in. In other words, Senatorial candidates may only receive donations from people that live in their state, and Congressional candidates can only receive donations from their district. This will restrict the affect of outside money and reduce the ability of these groups to "buy" multiple elections.
