I believe all elected officials that are in control of what the minimum wage is, should only be allowed to make minimum wage.
1. They claim that the "minimum wage" is a wage that a person is capable of living on so let them prove it.
2. This should apply to state and federal elected officials. State officials to make state minimum wages and Federal officials to make federal minimum wage.
3. We all know they get lots of other perks anyway including a really good federal health care package that they want to deny to the rest of us.
4. I'm really sure that if a law of this nature passed that minimum wage would increase very quickly.
Minimum wage is not a livable wage. If elected officials had to try to live on it they would agree that it isn't.
