The Internet is a tool of innovation and allows freedom of speech for every citizen. The Obama Administration needs to create policies that either empower municipalities that create Internet, or incentives for the telecommunications companies to provide broadband access to the rural United States.
The United States to be competitive in a digital world needs to have all of their citizens on the Internet. With Healthcare.gov and other government websites that are requiring people to use, it would be best to empower the rural United States with broadband access.
This would be the easiest way to get the economy growing as it would create jobs and give future jobs with the new infrastructure.
