OPEN CARRY IN TEXAS or Concealed Carry as long as people take their CHL Course and add a defense course to along with it

I am currently a Concealed Handgun License (CHL) holder. I am suggesting that Texas residents that already have their CHL be allowed to open carry as well or if he/she chooses to conceal their weapon can do so. I do feel to better assist those that will choose to open carry be regulated to a safety holster and have to take at least 5-6 hours defense class. I feel if we as Texans are allowed to conceal our weapons but can open carry long rifles or shotguns we should be allowed to open carry or handguns as well. i know many may not agree with a defense class but that would just strengthen our part to protect yourself from our weapons be taken away by an assailant. As it can happen to our best law enforcement officers it can happen to us.
