Open a Civil Rights Case Against Officer Daniel Pantaleo

Created by D.S. on December 04, 2014

Attorney General Eric Holder,

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has monitored proceedings after the murder of Eric Garner, an unarmed black male in Staten Island, New York by Police Officer Daniel Pantaleo.

We are concerned that the grand jury process was hampered by highly unconventional proceedings, including leaks. We have no confidence in state and local authorities to handle the results of this case.

In light of the return of a non-indictment on the police officer, we implore the DOJ to act swiftly, stand for justice and file civil rights charges against Officer Pantaleo for Eric’s murder. We contend that he deprived Eric of the most basic constitutional civil rights: the right to live and stand a fair trail.

Thank you.
