American's elections have turned into a circus. We have had no real electoral reform in over 50 years and the system is completely broken.
Why does Iowa HAVE to be the first state to have its caucuses? Why does New Hampshire have to be second? Why do some states have more say in which candidate a party chooses to represent it in the presidential elections than others? This system is inherently unfair and undemocratic, and the only reason it exists is "because that's how we've been doing it forever." The time has come for change, and the White House can get this serious constitutional conversation started. A single national primary and runoff elections should be considered among other ideas, even if constitutional amendments will be needed.
