Open a federal investigation into civil rights violations and incompetence in Oakland Unified School District.

Created by C.S. on February 07, 2014

The students of the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), especially special education students and others with special needs, have suffered from an epidemic denial of services, district incompetence and other offenses that deserve to be classed as a Civil Rights Violation and should be investigated, and prosecuted, by the Department of Justice. Although a few OUSD leaders are different, too many OUSD senior leaders seem to care more about saving money than saving students' educational careers. The consequences of OUSD's failures are severe, and may include more crime, lost educational opportunities, and less productive workers for the economy. We ask all advocates of special needs students to sign this petition to stand together for Oakland's special needs children.
