This petition is for a way to stop the violence of recent massacres. All the massacres have been caused by people suffering from mental disabilities. Taking away or banning guns will only cause greater conflict in our nation. In order to stop the violence we need to stop it at its source. People can find other means to kill people, such as in Japan where a man went into a school with a knife. What we need to do is help people suffering from schizophrenia and other disorders that can lead to violent action, not just throw them on the streets. If we do not change anything other than our gun laws, there will only be more massacres in the future. I implore my fellow Americans to sign this petition and actually make a difference in our country. Lets fix the real problem with gun violence.
