open an investigation into the judiciary who tried and sentenced people tortured by Jon Burge's organization.

Created by R.S. on April 14, 2015

Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced on April 14, 2015 that Chicago has reached an agreement to provide a sweeping package of reparations to victims of a notorious Chicago police commander Jon Burge. However, only judges have the authority to compound the insults of torture with a jail sentence. The authorities of both police and judges were aligned to not only torture individuals, but impression them for crimes they did not commit. This is a petition to require the DOJ to investigate each judge involved in prosecuting Chicago's torture victims to determine the extent of their involvement in perpetuating or supporting the torture. And, to remove the protection of immunity for the purposes of the investigation. And finally, bring criminal charges against any judge found to have been complicit.
