To open an IRS investigation into the tax exempt status of the NAACP. the US Internal Revenue Code prohibits organizations granted tax-exempt status from "directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office."
This is based on Dr. Reverend Ernest Johnson's statements as the keynote speaker at NAACP Oklahoma state conference in Nov. of 2012.
"For those who fight for what's right, and then decide to give up, then WRONG WILL TAKE OVER!", he stated to the attending members. He also reminded that wrong tried to take over in the last presidential election (Re-election of President Obama),
