Open Primary Elections Nationally

Created by W.G. on May 16, 2016

The primary elections for party nominations are held every four years, with public funding, yet only two parties benefit from this system, while others are starved of exposure. As both the DNC and RNC have both worked to favor certain candidates over others, it has become apparent that primary voters are only part of the nomination process. For that reason, parties should not be given exclusive primary elections.
A new system, open to all legally established parties, should be instituted to replace the current primary system, with every party choosing its nominee through its own process. This will allow greater access to the spectrum of policy viewpoints available to voters.
The top six party tickets, and any receiving over 10% of the popular vote will be listed on the November ballot.
