There are at least 50 million Americans who have given up on finding work, yet companies and Congress still want visas for foreign workers to come to the USA, saying there are labor shortages in key industries. The solution is to institute a mass retraining program inviting all unemployed workers to enroll, so that they can be trained to fill the labor shortages in these industries. More Americans working = lower food stamp costs, stronger families, and a stronger tax base. Look to the hidden unemployed and train them before you issue visas.
