Open selective service requirement to women

Created by J.J. on January 24, 2013

In lifting the ban on women in combat, the administration should also lift the ban on women registering for the selective service. Currently Almost all male U.S. citizens, and male aliens living in the U.S., who are 18 through 25, are required to register with Selective Service. It's important to know that even though he is registered, a man will not automatically be inducted into the military. In a crisis requiring a draft, men would be called in sequence determined by random lottery number and year of birth. In order to become a fair all voluntary service and equal rights to all who serve or may serve the requirement to register for selective services should be open required by all citizens and not restricted to males only
