Recently, Wired magazine published an article (http://www.wired.com/wiredenterprise/2013/01/hack-the-government/) describing an interesting way for people to participate in government policy making. This is a petition to make government policy making open source. This would have the following benefits:
* Complete transparency - We the people could see who is contributing what ideas.
* General populus participation - We the people could actually participate in policy making beyond the voting booth. This would overcome the overhead of trying to be heard by our Senators and Representatives.
* Voting/Issue tracking - A better way to actually find out what people think is important rather relying on bias polling organizations.
