The elections of this current century have proven that Americans are incapable of seeing beyond the only two choices commonly presented to them: Democrats and Republicans. The country ends up with a split government with one branch fighting the other where nothing gets accomplished and the only losers in such conflict are the citizens of the United States.
The proposal is to mend the Office of the President to have three elected officials: one from the Democratic party, one from the Republican party, and one from any other party except Democrat or Republican. The three persons will act as one - every action must be approved by at least 2 out of 3 - and submitted just as the Office of the President does now.
