Open up the voting process to "we the people" to include issues that are usually reserved for Congress.

Created by N.P. on October 27, 2011

Voting has become nothing more than a popularity contest that harkens back to the days of Student Body Officers that only represented the interests of themselves and their buddies.

Voting for a representative does not ensure that our interests are being represented; especially when that representative accepted large contributions to fund his/her campaign and is now beholden to the contributor.

I believe the only way to end this corruption is to reduce the rights of our representatives back to the civil servants they were meant to be.

Let "we the people" petition issues and have our civil servants gather those issues with the most signatures to prepare for a public vote.

Stop letting congress decide everything for us. We know what we need! We need REAL Democracy!
