By shutting the WH for tours, the President is playing party politics as he tries to make the Sequestration (which he created) seem much more damning and problematic than what it actually is. Right now, the government is saving $18,000 per week by not having Secret Service Officers protect the tours. The government can save more money by buying cheaper uniforms for TSA Agents, preventing the President from playing weekly rounds of golf, keeping Michelle away from her glorified and multi-million dollar vacations, and stopping Secretary of State Kerry from pledging millions of dollars to radicals in Egypt. The White House is paid for by law-abiding tax payers, and if they wish to see the building they purchased, they should have that opportunity!
