Operation Inherent Resolve Medal

Created by J.N. on June 09, 2016

The Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) Medal is currently only authorized for military members inside Iraq or Syria. It does not account for the sacrifices that thousands of other services members have made. Many of us have deployed in support of OIR but have been kept short of going into country due to political limitations. We are still supporting the 5000 that are currently limited to entering from Kuwait. We are still sacrificing our lives even though we may not be in the countries listed. Without our support OIR would not be possible. The medal should be extended to anyone that has forward deployed in support of OIR for a period of 60 days or greater, or have been in Iraq or Syria for a period of 30 days.
