I strongly support a change from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder also known as “PTSD” to Post-Traumatic Stress Injury shall be known as “PTSI”. This Stigma placed on our vets prevents them from seeking help (Synonyms of stigma Shame, disgrace, dishonor, humiliation this terminology of disorder has prevented our fellow veterans from seeking help like an untreated wound it festers and becomes infected that can cause death PTSD untreated it advances and eventually causes death via “Suicide”. By simply changing one-word Disorder to Injury can save a life. we can expect to mitigate the current rate suicides of veterans Let’s restore the service member’s dignity and to the families of the fallen service members lets revise the criteria for the purple heart an honor them justly.
