Allowing two companies to dominate any market through acquisition and mergers is not in the consumers best interest, adds to unemployment, creates an environment of price fixing and price gouging. Therefore, we are calling on our President and Members of Congress to oppose and prevent the acquisition of DIRECTV by AT&T, as well as, the proposed merger of COMCAST and Time Warner. Both mergers will result in higher prices, greater structural unemployment and create an easy environment for price fixing. These mergers would further deteriorate our Free Market System. It is a lie that such mergers provide for cheaper products and services through economy of scale and is in our best interest. It is not accurate.
