Oppose the Comcast/Time Warner merger deal. Consumers will take a loss directly from this particular deal.

Created by A.N. on April 15, 2014

We the people, petition the Obama Administration to direct the FCC to block the Comcast/Time Warner deal. Consumers (many of you who are reading this) will be the losers of such a deal. Comcast will be able to control 40% of cable content and additionally will provide up to 60% of high-speed internet connection. Consumers (us) may have to pay higher cable/internet connectivity bills while Comcast will have more leverage as a result of increased market share and less incentive to improve the quality of its customer service and technology for its subscribers. In short, this is a bad deal for all of us. We are ceding almost half of the cable provider market to Comcast, and they will also obtain a sizable amount of high-speed internet subscribers. Is this really in our best interest?
