At its core baseball is about tradition. Baseball is not only a game of inches but a game of nuances that separate it from hitting a tape ball with a broom handle. Baseball is not a glitzy game and will never rule the waves of modern television, but it is a living glimpse into our past and a reminder of how far we have come. Baseball and the United States grew up together and we leaned on baseball when the country finally decided to shake the hateful ways of it's youth and make good on the famous "truths that we hold to be self evident...". (800 characters?) Baseball players are supposed to bat and play a position. If you love baseball and don't like people (or commissioners) meddling with it-sign this petition and encourage the President to speak out against another lousy proposal by MLB.
