If passed, Enemy Expatriation Act (sponsored by Reps. Lieberman and Dent) would legalize the ability of the United States government to strip the citizenship of any American deemed to be a threat. President Obama insisted that the provisions in the NDAA regarding indefinitely detaining United States citizens would not be applied to citizens under his administration.
Mr President, please oppose this dangerous legislative loophole that would allow future administrations the ability to strip away due process rights for American citizens. If it does pass through the House and Senate, promise to veto.
