In December 2013, Peña Nieto made changes to the Mexican Constitution opening the oil to private capital. This reform will cause more poverty and will only benefit mexican elite and stronger foreign economies. The reform is really worrisome; Mexican economy depends in the oil. Although PEMEX is one of the higher profits oil companies, is in bankruptcy due to corruption. Mexican previous privatizations (lands and banks) really affected the economy increasing poverty. Meanwhile taxes are still increasing.
