Today the USA operates on a system that requires you to sign up in order to be an organ donor. This petition is to request that the system be reversed, in order to make all USA citizens an organ donor and must opt out in order to not be a donor. A large reason as to why this would be very beneficial is there are over 121,000 people on the US government waiting list to receive an organ. The change would allow these people to receive an organ in a more timely manor that would result in lives saved. Also, this concept is not new and can be found in more than 24 countries in the world with positive results.
