OPT period should be extended so that it can improve my skills in my education

I am the graduate student in the UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON. As i have spend alot of money and effort on my studies without the knowledge of much practical work during the OPT period it will not be any worth to me, so in my view the OPT period for international students must extended.
