As most soldier members of the United States Army know, approximately $350+ a month, also known as "BAS" is taken monthly from the base pay of each of these members. We the soldiers believe that we should use a pro-rated system that determines how much money is taken from our pay, due to the fact that we do not always use, nor have time to make it to the dining facility. This method has been proven effective by that of the United States Airforce and is a fair and impartial method to satisfy the needs of soldiers. In addition to this, soldiers are provided a fridge and cooking appliances in their living quarters. Single soldiers feel as though they are not treated as equally as married members are in this circumstance.
