We U.S. citizens of the Territory of Puerto Rico, who for 114 years have been faithful members of the United States despite our unjust situation being technically a colony. We ask the President Barack Hussein Obama to submit to Congress legislation to the admission of Puerto Rico as a State of the Union by virtue of the result of the November 2012 referendum. Where the people of Puerto Rico decided that current political status is not acceptable by a majority of 53% to 47% and between government alternatives possible for 64% of the people who voted chose statehood, against 32% who chose the free association and against a 4% chose independence.
