Order Civil Rights prosecution of the State of Florida and the US DOJ for misconduct in the charging of George Zimmerman

Created by J.S. on July 15, 2013

The US DOJ supported civil rights groups and helped organize mass protests in Florida after the local authorities declined to arrest George Zimmerman due to lack of evidence that he did anything other than defend himself lawfully. The DOJ and President Obama pressured the State of Florida to file charges against Zimmerman, even though probable cause did not exist. These charges were racially based and served to deny Zimmerman of his rights. The DOJ continues to investigate Zimmerman on Civil Rights charges, even though he has been acquitted and there is no evidence of any violation. This is a clear violation of Mr Zimmerman's rights and should be investigated immediately and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
