United States servicemembers make extraordinary sacrifices to serve and protect our country. They deserve the benefits to which they are entitled, and they should be able to receive these benefits in a reasonable amount of time. Currently, many veterans wait a year or more to receive VA benefits. This is unacceptable. Simple measures (such as digital forms, a single computer system for the VA and DoD, and a triage approach to claims) could significantly reduce the time from claim to delivery.
