The cancellation of the original Law & Order series, including its reincarnation L&O:LA, remains the greatest insult to justice in recent times. A primetime hour devoid of Sam Waterston's wispy gray locks, S. Epatha Merkerson's wise, knowing freckles or the clunky transition of "The Clang" is a primetime hour not worth watching. It is hereby necessary--nay, imperative--that Dick Wolf be allowed to creatively exercise his unparalleled genius, and continue to create a fictional world in which the plots are as complex as the protagonists are morally righteous.
