Millions of travelling Americans are needlessly inconvenienced by antiquated FAA requirements that electronic devices be turned off during taxi, take-off and landing phases of flight.
This petition calls upon the White House to order the FAA to immediately permit the use of portable electronic devices (electronic readers, tablets, phones, etc.) in airplane mode during these phases of flight.
The use of these devices in airplane mode during these phases of flight will reduce concerns for potential interference with critical aircraft systems, and yet will permit passengers to continue to carry on with important work.
