order the FAA to stop using NextGen to reroute air traffic over established residential neighborhoods

Created by M.F. on June 03, 2015

The FAA’s NextGen system has rerouted air traffic in several major cities. Aircraft are now flying at low altitudes over residential neighborhoods. Tens of thousands of people are forced to tolerate unhealthy levels of noise. The FAA is ignoring the pleas of civic leaders to reverse the changes.

This is not fair to the residents who live in affected communities. In addition to this, billions of dollars worth of infrastructure projects that were designed around flight patterns are now wasted. It is irresponsible of the FAA to ignore the effort that cities have made to ensure that people can lead a quality life free of aircraft noise.

The FAA needs to be held accountable for destroying healthy and vibrant communities by rerouting aircraft over established neighborhoods.
