Order the FBI to drop its demand that Apple create a "back door" to the IPhone

Created by M.B. on February 18, 2016

The FBI has demanded that Apple Computer create a "back door" to its IPhone. This would make it easier to crack any passcode, and prevent the phone from performing a data wipe. The company has flatly refused to do this, but a district court judge in California has ordered them to comply.

Essentially, the federal government is attempting to force a private business to create a product, in the name of national security. This is, unquestionably, an overreach and abuse of power. If the government can say, "OK, we're going to make you develop (or not develop) this product, even if you don't wish to/wish to", then what else can they force you to do? Accordingly....

....we, the undersigned, ask that the FBI be ordered to drop its demand that Apple create a "back door" to its IPhones.
