The FCC is pushing a proposal that would ultimately kill net neutrality and advance crony capitalism. Tod Wheeler’s plan would let big Internet service providers including AT&T, Comcast and Verizon create a two-tiered Internet, with fast lanes for those who can afford the extra fees and slowdown connection speeds, or even put data caps on the majority of users. These companies would also have the power to pick winners and losers online by throttling connections or out right blocking access to competitors websites. This violates freedom of speech and puts the US even further behind the rest of the world in terms of intent speed.
The FCC are looking for comments on their proposal, so tell them to reclassify ISPs as common carriers.
