President Obama,
We the American people demand better interest rates on our savings and checking accounts. Banks are able to charge exorbitant interest rates to the American people but we are unable to have decent interest rates for keeping our money in financial institutions. A minimum 5% interest rate on savings and checking accounts would encourage the American people to keep more money in banks, give banks more money to lend out (thereby increasing investments big and small), and finally returning America back to the much more prosperous times of the 1980s and 1990s.
We the people of the United States of America are ready to reenter a time of prosperity. With this simple change, America can return to being the great nation it once was.
