To order former foster youth in college an extended period of time to sign up for Medicaid under ObamaCare w/o charge.

Created by A.M. on November 22, 2013

Universities across the country are charging foster youth and students in general up to and over $1,500 a semester for health care. Under the Affordable Care Act former foster youth are entitled to Medicaid until the ages of 26. This would allow for former foster children who do not have support to afford $1,500 the opportunity to have healthcare. Universities should allow for foster youth in states where medicaid is just being expanded to opt out of student health insurance while they are in the process of receiving and applying for Medicaid. It is the ethical and moral thing to do.
