order a full inquiry into the compensation practices of all non-resident domestic workers employed by foreign diplomats.

Created by B.M. on January 10, 2014

Devyani Khobragade, a junior Indian diplomat was arrested on Dec 12, 2013 and later indicated for visa fraud, making false statements in connection with her treatment of a domestic employee, and trying to silence and intimidate the victim and her family.

While Ms. Khobragade has shamefully avoided the U.S. legal system, it remains highly likely that her illegal employment scheme was suggested to her by a more experienced colleague. While governments in other countries may tolerate corrupt and illegal practices, in the U.S. we strive for a higher ideal of justice.

We the people request that the White House under President Barak Obama order a full inquiry into the compensation practices of all non-resident domestic workers currently employed by foreign diplomats.
