We the people petition President Obama to order the justice department to investigate the murder of Kelly Thomas by the Fullerton Police Department.
On July 5th, 2011 at approximately 8:30PM members of the Fullerton Police Department responded to a complaint of vandalism, and encountered Kelly Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a homeless man with mental health issues, and was known to the police. Shortly after arriving officer Ramos asked Mr. Thomas, "Do you see my fists?", to which Mr. Thomas responded "Yeah", "they are getting ready to fuck you up" responded officer Ramos.
6 Officers than proceeded to beat Mr. Thomas who can be heard crying out "Dad, Dad" and "I'm sorry" several times. The officers were subsequently charged and acquitted.
Please help us get justice for Kelly Thomas.
