order the National Guard to reopen and operate the West Coast sea ports that have been unduly shut down due to strikes.

Created by S.M. on March 13, 2015

American sea ports are experiencing a shift into the modern age with automatization and efficiency. But labor strikes through unions are shutting down our vital sea ports across the West Coast.

Why? Because the laborers want to keep their high wage/high benefit jobs. While we genuinely understand their pain of losing a job, a growing and modern economy simply cannot keep these inefficient and unproductive jobs.

These strikes are severely hurting businesses (small to large) who rely on trade from the sea ports to run their business. We cannot have a few hundred jobs risk thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in losses to the economy.

Pres. Obama, please order the National Guard to take over the West Coast sea ports and operate them. There is historical precedent for this action.
