Any human being who injures another in a crime should be made, by law, to pay restitution to the injured party, when found guilty in a court of law.
Example: If a criminal rapes a woman/man and the injured person needs hospital care & metal health care, then what the injured person paid, should be paid back to him/her by the criminal.
The criminal can earn the money while serving his/her term in prison to pay restitution, and/or, money they may have in the bank or other funds may be used to payback for their crime.
The criminal would send the money to an account set up by the court and the court would release the funds to the injured party.
Innocent people should not ever have to pay for injuries caused by a criminal-ever.
