Over the recent months, Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe has shown that he lacks not only the leadership to run the United States Postal Service, but the proper cooperation with Postal Workers, and ensuring the prosperity and survival of the 237 year old instutution.
As the economy still affects thousands of homes, 35,000 Postal Workers stand to lose their homes. While a small few are able to relocate during the Postal Service's plan for consolidation, many will suffer because of having families in their hometowns and cities, having to cope with a tremendous decrease in pay, and struggling to find work with a nationwide unemployment figure of 8.3. The Postal Service is not only detrimental to the United States, but so are the jobs of 35,000 Postal Workers as well.
