Because some 7% of our population suffers from the anxiety disorder of paruresis (inability to urinate in the presence of others), it is necessary to change the current method of national drug testing.
Up to this point, paruretics not able to urinate on demand have been marked down as "refusal to test" by the test giver - a "positive" for taking illegal drugs. Also, being a disorder of shame, those so accused will not dispute this in order to conceal their "secret".
To protect those afflicted who need to take drug tests: our children for school sports, the incarcerated for appropriate prison release,or the employee to hold a job, I hereby submit this petition.
