As it stands, sites like Pinterest, Facebook, match.com, Twitter, Foursquare and many other social networking and membership based sites do now actually allow you to delete your entire profile from their servers. Why is this? Here is an actual excerpt from Pinterest privacy policy, "Copies of content shared with others may remain even after you delete the content from your account."
We need the ability for to delete all information if we see fit. Simply deactivating your account doesn't work for some people. I've work on computer field for 15 years, it's a simple database command that literally take a millisecond.
