Take executive action to cause the State Department to expedite the processing of applications for visas for translators who risked their lives and the lives of their families by working with U.S. armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. There are thousands of such translators and their family members who's lives are at grave risk due to shameful bureaucratic delays by the U.S. State Department and the failure to provide these brave people an expedited and efficient route to entry into the U.S. Interim steps should include a process to relocate these translators and their families out of harm's way so that they can be vetted in a safe setting and, if entitled, to timely resettlement in the US.
