A system similar to what has been proposed in other countries, where individuals who are organ donors will be put ahead of those who are not organ donors, on the waiting list for organs. This system could increase organ donation, save more lives, and dispel the rampant myths about becoming an organ donor. The revamped waiting list would NOT apply to people already on the waiting list or children who do not have a say in whether or not to become an organ donor.
