On behalf of the citizens of this great nation. this petition will serve to offer a potential solution to innocent citizens being gunned down by police with impunity. We the people propose that an agency be organized, and granted policing powers to police all sworn law enforcement officers. Said agency would be charged with arresting/prosecuting law enforcement officers in the same way private citizens are arrested and prosecuted when being accused of committing a crime. This agency should operate independently of any police department it would be charged with policing. Law enforcement officers should no longer be entrusted with the very real responsibility of policing themselves. Unlike an internal affairs division, this agency should be totally independent, so as to prevent conflict.
