Many countries hold military parades around the world. While some do it as a means of intimidation, many use military parades as a way to inspire national pride, honor the military, give the military some time to be seen at their best - away from the battlefield.
The United States has not had a full military parade for a very long time. A full-size parade in a place like New York City, Washington D.C., or similar would speak volumes to the gratitude we have for our active duty military and the veterans who have served us.
