Outer Space Tax Break Initiative to Spur Innovation, Privatization, and Resource Allocation from Beyond Earth

Created by J.C. on February 03, 2015

To help fuel a commercial gold rush into the heavens via private entities I propose a bill be sent to congress asking that any American company that sources profits in outer space from 350,000 km or further not have to pay taxes on that profit by any means.

That this law be in effect for a minimum of 50 years before it goes to review in Washington.

That any American settlers or workers that inhabit any ship, station, or celestial body beyond 430 km not be required to pay taxes for 100 years following the law taking effect.

This will give great incentive to corporate entities and human beings to push out beyond our planet and gain a foothold in outer space for all mankind. It will spur innovation, revitalize US education, and potentially create an untold amount of jobs.
