Whatever can be done to limit the amount of gun violence, including mass shootings of children, in the United States should be done. This includes restricting the rights of citizens to own weapons manufactured for the sole purpose of killing humans. Those weapons include, but are not limited to, nuclear weapons, biological weapons, chemical weapons, artillery, tanks, fighter jets, bombers, assault rifles, and semi-automatic hand guns. The Second Amendment states: "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." Indeed, individuals do maintain the right to keep and bear arms, but as a well regulated militia. This amendment does not allow for ownership of any and all weapons.
